Peggy,
What an incredible journey—thank you so much for taking the time to share this

Ninety-two pounds is no small feat, but what really stands out is how much your health has transformed. Those numbers—your glucose, A1C, blood pressure—are amazing, and it’s so inspiring to hear how much better you’re feeling both physically and mentally.

I also really appreciate what you said about the misconceptions. There’s so much more to this than people realize, and your story is such a powerful reminder that it’s not about “taking the easy way out”—it’s about using the tools available and doing the work, just like you are.

And 72 and feeling better than you have in 20 years? That says everything. Truly inspiring.

Thank you again for sharing your experience—it will mean so much to so many women reading this

Hi Robin,
I don't normally comment but since I have been on Tirzepatide for the past year I thought I would share my journey. I began Tirzepatide for weight loss. Over the past year I've lost 92 lbs. I had truly let myself go and I felt terrible mentally and physically. I am still on a micro dose. I was also prediabetic and had been on Metformin for years. My endocrinologist has taken me off the metformin. My glucose level ranges in the low to mid 80's. My ALC was 4.7 a few weeks ago. My blood pressure is around 117/60ish. My energy level has skyrocketed. I am exercising more and I feel wonderful. Some people feel we take GLP's because we are too lazy or weak or lack the willpower to 'push away from the table.' I just think 'bless their heart.' They are clueless. I take the medication but also put in the work. Yep, I am southern to the bone! They don't bother to consider the additional benefits of this medication. BTW, I am 72 years old and feel the best in over 20 years.

Thank you so much Joanna, for your kind words.
I'm not happy with the way my body has aged but I accept it. I know I can fix alot of the problems I have with plastic surgery and laser but I think there is room in this world for women to just be who they are with grace.

You look wonderful in a bikini. It’s obvious you’re comfortable wearing one. People should keep their unkind opinions to themselves. I wear a one piece or tankini but have been tempted to try a high waisted two piece. Maybe my next purchase will be one.
