I too have opted for 3D because I have had tumors removed and have dense breasts.
The radiologists poo poo the 3D, but I hate getting the call I need to do more tests.
Then Brenda had negative mammograms but still had breast cancer!
We need to have better prevention and the insurance companies need to cover all mammograms.

I always worry what my friends and family who have breast cancer think when I write about breast cancer in October. I even asked my brother what he thought if I should mention that Sandra has metastatic breast cancer.
I do not have breast cancer but I want to respect and honor the women who do.

We are all affected by breast cancer. I’ve lost friends to breast cancer and I know women who are survivors. 1 in 8 will be diagnosed with breast cancer and we need to focus on research and prevention.

Thank you. Yes money should be spent on research and prevention and I think the 4 star rated charities like the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, and Stand Up 2 Cancer, should be the ones we donate to.

I am so happy to work with brands that have a big heart.
Every month should be breast cancer awareness month but I’m happy October is dedicated to breast cancer.
I know wearing pink is hard on some women who are dealing with breast cancer but I think it’s a very kind gesture (like lighting a candle) to honor these women and their families.

Thank you very much for your kind words. Yes we were all shocked when Sandra received the news. I always thought 5 years you could put breast cancer behind you but you can’t.
I love Delta for supporting breast cancer research and honoring their employees who have breast cancer in their families or is a survivor.
My brother Todd always wears pink in October. Wasn’t it lovely that his passengers were so willing to donate $200.00 on his flight.
Kindness is everywhere.

Like you well pointed out some of us who are battling with this disease are uncomfortable during Pink October, and as you may have noticed, these days I stay away from social medias, worrying a lot, too much. But when you wrote that one of your blogging friends like me has a little voice telling her something was wrong and that all was okay, thanks to these simple few words, I feel less worried and realise that this voice is unavoidable during Pink October…and all I can hope is that hard science finds the cure to free us all from breast cancer…
