Yes, I try to write about more than clothes on my blog and menopause was a huge eye opener for me and for my husband.
Menopause is different for every woman but when you feel young but your body says, “Not so fast lady!” it can really throw you for a loop.

I wish someone would teach me the world of social media. I find posting everyday and following all my friends a lot of work! I can easily spend 1-2 hours on Instagram! That is why I am shutting down the designer side and combining the 2 accounts. I may change my Instagram to Robin LaMonte and not use my hello I’m 50ish name. What do you think?

I have spun my wheels with IG and finally think I figured it out. Our generation is not big IGers. Most of the IG population are the younger people. So they have far more people to see their stuff and follow them. I spent way too much time this year trying to figure out the algorithm and missed out on reading a lot of good blog posts. I’m a blog lover all the way. I don’t enjoy social media at all. One of my goal this year is to keep blogging fun so that means less time on IG and more time on my blog and the blogs of those I enjoy.

What a wonderful post and you have inspired me to figure out some answers to these same questions. Social media completely baffles me on a daily basis! And once we find the magic resolutions to increasing following and engagement, we need to all share! I have to say though that I love the part about communicating with your husband through menopause. I am right at the beginning of it and it is a pure hell for me. Fortunately, my husband and I do talk about it and he is very understanding. But man oh man, what a journey this phase of life is proving to be! I look to amazing women like who have been through it and are willing to talk about it. It gives me hope that I too will thrive through it all! Thank you, beautiful lady, for what you do here!

I find instagram so baffling that I realized I haven’t seen your feed in awhile!
When I get done here, I will go on Instagram and see your pretty face!
All my favorite people never show up on my Instagram feed and I think I need to make a list and check it off everyday!
I must not be looking at the right time of day!

I am just amazed at the work that goes into building your brand ,don’t you?
I want to inspire and speak to women over 50 about many issues we face, not just what outfit to wear.
I know many people follow us for our clothes, but I want to share my thoughts about being a 61 woman who feels young even though my skin is wrinkled and sagging.
My voice isn’t about looking youthful but about feeling youthful.
I think a lot of women want to look their best and not feel the pressure to have work done to their faces.
This year I’m bringing in my expertise as an interior designer to share the latest trends and the homes I design for a well lived life.
