I was born in Miami, and raised in Coral Gables. I shopped Miracle Mile every weekend, rode my bike to Matheson Hammock Park, and hung out at the Biltmore Hotel in my later years (you can rent a cabana by the pool for the day!). I was a lifeguard at Venetian Pool and the Coral Gables Country Club. Did you get to visit any of those places? I did NOT appreciate what I had at the time! Now, many years later, I’ve raised my own family in Texas, and I love it here, but Coral Gables is such a special place. My brother and his wife still live there. Cafe Abbracci is a their go-to Italian! You’ve nailed Coral Gables style too … casual elegance. 🙂
