I have more than I need in (Charlotte) but would still love a timeless camel coat. Your faux fur vest looks wonderful with the scarf. I also love the plaid and different ways you styled it. The plaid capes and ponchos are my favorite! Living in an arctic place, I have quite an extensive outerwear wardrobe myself. Because I like my coat to go with my outfit! As for faux fur vs real fur, real fur just kind of freak me outs, so I stick with faux fur! But I don’t really see any harm in vintage furs because the damage has already been done. Now brand new fur coats being manufactured from currently operating fur farms, I don’t think I can get on board with that. However, I also am a firm believer in “to each his own.” Great post! I’ve been vegetarian for 47 years and care about what people do to animals. I am horrified at the thought of having an animal killed to provide a fur or animal-skin item of clothing for me. But I have a real fur coat that I bought from a second-hand store ages ago. What I am meaning to say is that I believe it’s okay to buy real fur if it was already there and used by someone else, but I would not buy one brand new and be the person to pay those who killed that animal.
