I guess I am not sure what would be considered "old" and what "new". I think I remember a faded denim skirt from the beginning of this post. I might Consider that an "old" element---which looks better on you than it would on me! Or another example---I used to write fashion-related poetry. It has become "old" for me, I'm no longer as confident writing it and it doesn't make sense for my current style. Oh, it's still there, in the "back of the closet", so to speak (in the bowels of my blog, bythemightymumford.com) but I don't dig them out very often...rather like articles of clothing I might lay aside...right? :D

In reply to <a href="https://helloim50ish.com/confidence-after-50-redefining-elegance-with-your-wardrobe/#comment-3999">Maureen</a>.

Maureen,
I completely understand you!
I can believe how you want to dress comfortable yet be stylish.
I was just in Las Vegas with a bunch of women and couldnt believe that we were the best dressed there!
Everyone looked like gym rats.
When did wearing lounge wear and gym clothes become the new normal?

I just recently turned 60. I realized that I dress more for myself in the last few years than I do to impress others. I want to be stylish yet oh so comfortable. I must wear a compression stocking on one leg due to a health issue and that is something else that comes into play. But I do not want to leave the house looking like grunge.
I have seen so many who are in high school and they look like they are wearing pajamas and slippers to school. I do not understand that. I wear what is comfortable yet stylish.
