How cool was that to see Bonaparte’s grandfather’s photos!
I was winter photos of Versailles and yes, it’s still beautiful but I love gardening and need to see things in bloom!
Yes, there are exhibits at Versailles but I was getting frustrated at how much research I was doing to get everything accurate for this blog.
So much work writing travel posts, but I think it’s great to post places people many never see or haven’t seen yet.
I was thinking of you when I was writing!
“What would Catherine think?” was this little voice in my head.

Versailles is spectacular and the gardens were stunning!
I said to my husband that I want to go back again when they open up more rooms that were closed and to walk the gardens again. I am an avid gardener and when we go on trips we visit historical gardens.
C’est magnifique!

Surprisingly, I like Versailles better in the winter because it’s relatively empty compared to the spring and summer! If you have readers staying in Paris, the drive to Versailles is very pleasant. I love your photos and this post—I feel like I’m back!
A little tidbit—often there are exhibits that you can stumble upon. On on of our visits to the Chateau we were thrilled to stumble into an exhibit of my husband’s grandfather’s photos —it was so cool!!! Thanks for taking me back there Robin!!!!
