Tuesday Style Link up| What to Pack for a Luxury Resort Vacation

Ladies, are you ready for a nice sunny vacation where you can enjoy warmer weather and an ocean breeze?

It’s been a very dreary winter and I have had my fill of cold rainy weather in Atlanta. I’m ready to put some sandals on, get outdoors in the sunshine, and feel the ocean breeze on my face.

When we stay at really nice luxury resorts I tend to pack a few dressy casual outfits when we dine at the nice restaurants in the area. Even some of the luxury resorts we stay at have dress codes for some of their dining rooms. Not everyone wants beach attire and flip flops in their restaurants. Even in Hilton Head people tend to dress up for the nicer restaurants.

Living in Atlanta allows us to drive to our favorite hotels on the Georgia Florida Atlantic coast or we head to Hilton Head to our condo on the beach. However, the weather plays an important role in what I pack in February.

Our favorite hotels to stay in February are only 6 hours away by car from Atlanta. We go for the golf and I enjoy treating myself to a spa treatment.

The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island

We went to the Ritz last year around St. Patrick’s Day and the fountain was flowing with green water. The Ritz has a wonderful golf course and spa to enjoy. I really love the view from the pool to the beach. We usually dined at the Ocean Grill and Coast but went to Salt ( Dress up for this restaurant!) for a special date night!

The Cloister on Sea Island, Georgia

This is one of my favorite hotels that we stay at. Sea Island is just north of Amelia Island on the Georgia coast. I wrote about our anniversary getaway trip to the Cloister Hotel here.

We dined mostly at the River Bar but really enjoyed eating at the Oak Room at the Lodge.

What to Pack

I always pack a couple of dresses and a couple of nice pant outfits for dinner or just going out.

Dresses

This dress is a casual beach style that is acceptable in any restaurant. I purchased this cute Pappagallo dress at Stein Mart last summer and it’s so fun to take along to the beach.

This dress is dressier for the special night you want to feel glamorous at the beach. One thing I appreciate is being able to wear a dress for many years and still find it in style. This dress is still available at Soft Surroundings but the jewelry from Chico’s I’m afraid isn’t. I have added new jewelry for you to shop my look.

White pants styled 3 ways

I pack one pair of white pants but bring 3 different tops on my trips. I plan my wardrobe with either one color theme or select a neutral pant color to be worn with different tops.

Navy and white is a classic combination and perfect for a February vacation.

This paisley print tunic is a perfect punch of color for a february vacation

This outfit from Soft Surroundings that was featured in last Tuesday’s post is a perfect beach resort outfit because the jacket comes in handy for cooler February temperatures in Florida.

Swimsuits and a Cover Up

I always pack two swimsuits and a couple of cover-ups.  I love a classic black one-piece because it never goes out of style and there are so many stunning black one-piece swimsuits
